"Mizu no Kokoro"

^{Calixto Garcia-Abid, Ph.D is the president of Community Technological Institute of Miami (ctim4edu,com). Dr. Garcia is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Florida and keeps a private practice in  Neuropsychology, Behavioral Medicine and Cognitive Reflex Therapy of which he is the founder. Dr. Garcia also  lectures. trains and supervises students and other professionals on Cognitive Reflex Therapy (www.cognitivereflextherapy.com).  Previously, he was the Associate Director of Florida International University, Counseling and Psychological Service Center and a professor in psychology.  Dr Garcia also founded  ShinZenDo Ryu ju-jutsu of which he is a practioner and  an instructor (ShinZenDoRyu.com). Dr. Garcia is also a community organizer and activist and the current  chief executive officer of The Little Havana Miami Dade  County Chamber of Commerce (mia4biz.com).}  

CAUSE AND EFFECT

 LESLY BARO, MS - Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, has been a Cognitive Reflex Therapy practitioner for the last ten years. She has trained directly under Dr. Calixto Garcia and is part of the staff at the Cognitive Reflex Therapy Institute . She has a  degree in clinical psychology from the Universidad Autonoma Monterrey and study education at the National University of Costa Rica . She did her practicum at the Chacon Paut Psychiatric Hospital and the  Children Hospital  of Costa Rica in the area of oncology.   She also has  a vast experience in forencic psychology as she worked in the justice system  of Costa Rica in the penitenciary center La Reforma a maximun security jail, first as an intern and later as a professional psychologist. She conducted therapeutic intervention with inmmates in areas of drug addiction, sex offenses, interpersonal relations and psychological evaluations.  Previously she worked for the ministry of education in the capacity of school counselor for a vocational school and a middle school.  She was also a professor at the Central University of Costa Rica where she taught Social Psychology and at the Hispano America University where she taugh courses in the areas of psychopharmachology and drug dependency. Now she is a consultant for Community Technological Institute of Miami and a Clinician at Community Behavioral  and Health  Associates.
